A corroded, virtually complete post-medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener hook-piece (16-17th century AD). It has a sub-triangular plate with three small circular loops for attachment, one at each apex, and an integral blunt curved hook which extends from one of the sides; this would have engaged with a separated eye-piece. One of the sewing loops has now abraded through. The hook is curved right back on itself and has a rounded end. A D-shaped to sub-triangular late early-medieval buckle frame with moulded Ringerike-style zoomorphic decoration on the sides and outside edge (c. 11th century). The frame is complete in and of itself but the pin is missing. The bar is slightly narrowed and offset, and gripped at both ends in the mouth of an animal; it recessed behind the ends of the sides. The animals' snouts, ears and eyes are moulded. They connect at the centre of the outer edge in a stepped trefoil. A median groove decorates much of the front of the buckle. A fragment of a Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age, cast copper-alloy razor dating to c.800BC-600BC. The razor has a trapezoidal shaped blade in plan and appears to consist of the lower portion of a razor. On the front face, it is decorate with two grooves separated by two moulded ridges, the lower ridge is narrower than the upper one. The reverse is undecorated. A cast copper-alloy Roman mount in the form of a sleeping hound from a patera (vessel). The mount is D-shaped in cross-section, with a flat reverse. The features of the dog are moulded, particularly the hunched up hindleg and similarly bent foreleg upon which the dog's head rests. Unlike the relatively well-known series of sitting hound-mounts and brooches known from Roman Britain, this hound is depicted curled up asleep.
