Similar objects on the Portable antiquities database: NARC-067BB4. Below are extracts from the previous entry describing the production of these tokens. .
"In the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries many coin-like objects were produced to serve as gambling counters or gaming pieces, to keep score or act as tokens during card games and other games of chance. The commonest types are pieces made in imitation of gold guineas and half guineas of George III's so-called 'spade' type, issued between 1787 and 1800 (fig. 1). These pieces were normally made of brass and can also be distinguished by their inscriptions, which were usually versions of those used on the original coin, but bungled and with incorrect dates. The type was revived in the 1860s, when they usually carried the names of the firms which produced them, or BIRM for Birmingham, where most were manufactured."

A cast, lead alloy, toy pistol handle of medieval date (1650-1750 AD). The handle is curved and rounded at one end, while the other end is broken at point of attachment with barrel. There are moulded lines running along length of object to potentially form a grip. The broken end is hollow as it would have extended into the barrel of the toy.

Cast, lead alloy toy handle possibly from a petronel gun, of post medieval date (AD 1700-1900). The handle is a dark grey in colour with some patches of corrosion. The object is curved and broken at potentially both ends. One end is very abruptly blunted and a rounded portion may have been broken off. The other end is hollow and would have been where the barrel of the toy attached. The handle does have some engraved decoration but is difficult to distinguish through wear and corrosion.

Fragment of a lead allo Toy of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1800) , possibly a whistle. the object is cylindrical and hollow with a break at both ends. The cylinder tapers from 14.63mm to 12.01mm at the smallest end and, complete, this tapering may have been more pronounced. There is a rectangular projection towards the middle of the fragment which may have been used as a hand. There is a hole near the smallest end of the cylinder. There's no discernible decoration on the object due to through green patina covering most of it but there are several scratches near the broken end which may have been deliberate.
