An incomplete copper alloy sterling bust jetton of Edward I dating to the period AD1293-1296. The obverse shows a facing bust within border of strokes and rosettes. A copper-alloy cartwheel penny of George III (AD1760-1820) dated to AD1797 on reverse of coin. BRITANNIA reverse type depicting Britannia seated left. Second issue. Birmingham Soho mint. Spink p.419, no.3777. The coin has been pierced, possibly for later use as a button. There is a large regular circular hole (4.35mm) in the very centre of the coin, pierced through from obverse to reverse. On the obverse there is a much smaller hole off centre however here the coin has not been pierced through, with no hole on the reverse.
