A complete lead or lead alloy biconvex Spindle Whorl of possibly the Medieval period, circa AD 1100 - AD 1400. The whorl is broadly circular in shape and lozenge shaped in section. There is a circular perforation cast slightly off centre, with an interior diameter of 9.7 mm. The whorl is decorated on one side with dual raised pellets evenly spaced around the circumference of the object.
