An incomplete copper alloy probable bow brooch of the Roman period, probably dating from c. AD 50 - c. AD 200. Only part of the bow, foot and catchplate remain. The head, wings, spring and pin are missing presumed in lost antiquity. The bow is broadly rectangular in plan and square in section. At the top of the bow is a jagged break, the patina is worn suggesting this was broken in antiquity.
