A fragment from the handguard of a Post Medieval sword probably dating to the 17th century. The piece tapers to a point at one end and the other terminates in an old break. There is an incised pattern starting a short distance from the narrow end of a series of three horizonta lines, a dot followed by a diagonal line of small dots and a further single dot. The back is plain. The piece has a brown/green patina. It measures 83.15mm in length 5.80mm in width, 3.36mm in thickness and weighs 9.40g. Wilkinson (1967) gives some examples at Plates 40 and 45 which he dates to the 17th century.

A Post Medieval copper alloy rolled rivet dating to the period c.AD 1500 - 1800. The rivet consists of a piece of sheet metal which has been rolled into a tapered cone. A seam runs longitudinally and the top has been flattened to one side, there is a small rectangular indent into the top of the rivet and the inside appears to be hollow. The piece has a green patina. The rivet measures 28.23mm in length, 14.10mm in width at the top and weighs 4.70g. A discussion of these rivets can be found in Egan (2005, p.101). Post Medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period cAD1575-1700. The frame is asymmetrical in shape with moulded decoration on the loops.There are six lobed knops on the outside edge of the rectangular loop and lobed knops at the outer corners of the rounded loop. A fragment of Medieval copper alloy folding strap clasp or a buckle frame. Only the frame remains. It is rectangular in shape with two recessed bars, front and back, possibly to accommodate a missing folding clasp element or perhaps a sheet roller at the front. The sides terminate in rounded ends flanking both bars. The rear bar has a small area of iron staining at the mid-point, possibly from a pin and perhaps indicating that this is a buckle frame. Post Medieval cast lead disc shaped bi-faced token of Powell type 2 / 9. On one side is an indistinct geometric pattern of a series of straight lines forming a triangle or trapezium with pellets at the corners and three short lines radiating form one side. On the other side is a raised capital W formed of overlapping V's within a line border. The token measures 18.24mm in diameter, 3.26mm in thickness and weighs 5.71g. Lead tokens were in common use from c.1250-1850 but those with initials are usually thought to be Post Medieval in date.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy bracelet dating to cAD 300 to 400. The bracelet is formed of a strip of copper alloy which has been bent into an irregular U-shape. One end is complete and narrows to catch and the other finishes in a straight, patinated break. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch. Only the foot and catchplate remain. The bow thins and narrows evenly to the pointed foot. Close to the break in the bow is a small circular indentation and the foot is slightly thickened although vary narrow, with two transverse notches. The catchplate is complete with a circular hole drilled through the centre. The piece measures 29.0mm, 5.75mm in width, 3.95mm in thickness and weighs 3.63g.
