A Medieval copper alloy annular buckle, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1500. The buckle consists of an undecorated sub-circular frame, with copper alloy pin surviving in situ.
c. 26mm in diameter.
The lack of constriction means that the artefact is classed as a buckle, rather than an annular brooch, although the distinction is slightly arbitrary. It can be compared to numerous examples excavated from Late Medieval contexts in London (Egan & Pritchard 2002: 57ff).
