An incomplete copper alloy finger ring dating to the Roman period, probably 3rd century AD (c. 200-300 AD). The bezel is flat and oval in shape, containing four raised pellets in a lozenge formation. The pellets are filled with light blue enamel, and surrounding area with red enamel. The hoop tapers in width from the shoulders, but the back of the hoop is broken and missing. The upper face is decorated with a simple, raised cross within a raised border. This decoration fits into Powell's type 14 (crosses). The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal is worn and grey-ish cream in colour. The token is 19.3 mm in diameter, 2.5 mm thick and weighs 6.1 g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses including use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets and weights, and are difficult to date precisely.
