An incomplete Medieval mount or buckle plate, dating to c AD 1400 - 1700. The find is missing a loop or similar for attachment. The mount has a degree of wear and patination, and is decorated but the pattern is unclear. It is rectangular,  with straight attachment edge, rivet hole in each corner, slightly rounded at the outer edge where there is a crescentic break in the centre. The underside is undecorated. It is made up of a stout oval cross section ring, now a little distorted, integral to a collar and short neck with a flange below - the skirt -  which flares outwards and down, partly covering an oval loop on the underside. A fragment of a Medieval copper alloy vessel foot from a cooking or serving pot, dating perhaps to c AD 1250 - 1500. What is extant is the flat trapezoidal base of the foot and a very short section of the leg, above which is an early break. The leg itself rises from the base at an angle, towards the body of the pot and is a flattish oval in section.
