A worn and warped, cast lead object depiciting a boar or pig, possibly a token dating to the post-medieval period. Description: The object survives roughly semicircular, though it is flattend towards one side. It is likely to have been originally been ovoid in shape. A Roman ceramic sherd from a Samian ware vessel dating to the period c AD 43-260.  The sherd comprises a fragment from the side or body of the vessel vessel. The sherd is undecorated with very rare small limestone inclusions. The fabric is fine and orange in colour with a glossy orange-red slip on the outside (on both the inside and outside of the vessel), although it is worn chipped. A fragment of cast copper-alloy Medieval key dating from about AD 1200 - 1500. Description: Only the openwork quatrefoil bow survives. At the base is a break leaving one lobe flattened. The break is slightly hollow and rectangular in shape. Each of the inner lobes is bevelled on both sides. it has a mottled green brown patination. Measurements: 24.73mm wide, 24.71mm wide, 3.58mm thick and 4.91g in weight Discussion: The handle is incomplete but is similar to SWYOR-6B1B61 and SF-E65BCC . These are keys of Ward Perkins (1940) London Type VI.
