A complete Roman copper alloy dupondius of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161), dating to AD 140-44 (Reece Period 7), ANNONA AVG, S C, Annona standing holding corn ears and cornucopiae, between modius and prow. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p. 113, no. 656(var?). The obverse type appears to be radiate and draped right which is not recorded in either RIC or BMC, although it might just be drapery on left shoulder which is noted for RIC 656.

A heavily corroded copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Commodus (AD 175-192), probably as Caesar under Marcus Aurelius dating to the period c.AD 177-180 (Reece period 8). Uncertain reverse depicting a standing female figure left, possibly Libertas holding pileus and sceptre or similar type. Mint of Rome. For the possible reverse type Cf. BMC p. 675 no. 1684; RIC III p.341 no. 1588. See attached composite image for detail. Diameter: 28.6mm. Thickness: 4.3mm. Weight: 12.7g.
