An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD 50-150) Colchester derivative ('dolphin') type brooch missing approximately half of the spring and the pin. The brooch measures 39.5mm in length and weighs 7.78g. The wings are C-shaped in cross section and span 23.2mm. There are traces of an incised transverse line at either end of the wings. A complete post-medieval copper-alloy casket key. The key has a kidney shaped bow with two internal projections at the stem end. On the shoulders underneath the bow there are three decorative collars which are worn. The stem extends to a projecting pin below the bit which is narrow, rectangular and uncut. The key is a dark brown colour with patches of green and pink corrosion. The key measures 31.1mm in total length. The bow measures 15.7mm by 11.1mm. The bit measures 4.8mm by 7.1mm. A medieval copper alloy buckle plate. The plate consists of a rectangular sheet of metal, folded widthways to attach to the buckle. The fold on the reverse of the plate is approximately half the length of the plate, measuring 12.3mm in length. A central rectangular slot has been cut out on both sides for the attachment. There is iron staining within this slot suggesting the buckle pin was made of iron. At the opposite end on the longer plate there is a rivet hole with the iron rivet still in situ. A medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame, missing its pin. The loops are oval and thin rectangular shaped in cross-section. The frame is angled. On both loops there is a central notch for the missing pin. The pin bar is offset, narrowed and circular in cross section. There is no decoration on the frame. Part of a post-medieval (1500-1700) lead-alloy seal cloth consisting of disc one. Part of the squashed rivet remains on the reverse of disc one, and a small part of the connecting strip on one edge. The seal disc is circular, and the edges have been bent out of shape, though the disc is complete. Disc two is missing. The seal depicts a swan standing left (from the viewer's perspective) in low relief, with the letters MES on the left and *V on the right. An irregularly-shaped and probably incomplete lead vessel mend or 'pot-mend' of uncertain date (but probably AD 43 - 1800). The object consists of two halves (one of which is smaller than the other) joined at the centre. A thin piece of oxidised probably earthenware ceramic is visible between the halves, being orangey brown from the firing process. The object measures 39.1mm by 31.8mm, and is 17.9mm thick. It weighs 71.18g.

An incomplete copper-alloy medieval buckle with trapezoidal frame and integral plate. The frame has been folded over itself. The two outer corners of the frame have a rounded knop. The frame is oval in cross section and is 2.2mm thick. The frame is 18.9mm at the longer end. A complete pair of copper-alloy tweezers possibly Roman in date, however a medieval date cannot be ruled out. The tweezers are made from a single sheet of copper alloy which has been folded over on itself at a defined loop to form a sprung end. The arms of the tweezers flare out gradually along the length (3.5mm at the loop end, 5mm at the tip); these have been bent out of alignment. The tweezers are rectangular in cross section. The cleaner terminates with two prongs; the central perforation is triangular in shape. There are horizontal lines running across the width on both sides of the nail cleaner, immediately below the break, this is probably remains of decoration. The catch plate is sub-triangular in shape and has an openwork frame. The foot consists of a knop protruding from the base of the bow. The bow is thin and oval shaped in cross-section. It is undecorated and has a light green patina. The fragment measures 25.8mm in length and 12.7mm in maximum width. The bow of the brooch measures 1.9mm by 3.8mm in cross section. The fragment weighs 1.89g.

It is engraved with zigzags longitudinally arranged along the centre (traces of gilding are visible here) and along the edges of the upper surface. The curved end has been folded over and the edge opposite has a central, separate rivet still in place. There is no decoration on the reverse.
