An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of uncertain type dating to the period c. AD 50-150. The head, wings and pin are missing. The bow commences in an old break and arches upwards into a moulded devolved acanthus knop. The bow then tapers into the lower leg, terminating in a knobbed foot. The catchplate extends from the reverse of the brooch, commecning just below the acanthus knop and termnating at the foot in a rolled pin rest. The brooch is covered in a thick layer of iron corrosion product. Length; 43.38mm Width; 9.21mm Thickness; 7.40mm Weight; 6.48g.

An incomplete Roman enamelled copper alloy umbonate plate brooch, dating to the period c. AD 100 - 250. The pin mechanism is missing. The brooch consists of a domed circular boss, decorated with two concentric circles of recessed inward-pointing triangular enamelled cells, arranged around a central circular cell.
