A copper alloy cast Post Medieval asymmetrical buckle frame, with one rectangular and one D-shaped loop with a narrowed and offset strap bar, dating to c. AD 1575-1700. The pin is missing. The front face of the buckle is bevelled and the rear is flat. The inside edge of the rounded loop has a slight convex swelling. The buckle is encrusted and has a mottled patina of red/brown, beige and green.

An incomplete copper-alloy single loop, medieval buckle, dating from about AD 1350-1400. The frame is of an elongated D shape (stirrup shaped) The frame has a single circular collared knop on the outer curved edge and there are transverse ridges across the frame, one on each side, near the plate. A fragment of the plate remains with a single hole, where the pin that is now missing would have been located. The object has a mid green patina

Incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy double-loop or spectacle buckle frame which has a flat base and a convex profile with bevelled inner edges so that it is D-shaped in section. There is a moulded rosette knop on the outer edge of each loop. The strap bar is narrowed and flush with the rest of the frame with a lobed knop at either end. The pin is missing and there remains traces of iron oxide where it would have been located.

An incomplete cast, copper-alloy single looped D-shaped buckle dating from the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1500). The frame of the buckle is D-shaped in form and oval in cross-section. The bar is narrow and off-set. No pin remains. The outer edge of the frame widens in the middle to act as the pin rest. The buckle is undecorated and has a mid-green patina.

A cast copper alloy single looped 'roller' buckle. The frame is oval with a narrower offset strap bar expanded at each end with two small knops. The front end of the buckle is expanded and decorated with two knops the loop is recessed to house a copper alloy sheet roller decorated with six circumfrential incisions.The pin bar is recessed and narrow. The buckle is similar but not identical to No 96 (Whitehead, 2003). It can be broadly dated to the 13th or 14th centuries.

An incomplete copper alloy Medieval D shape buckle frame with a narrowed and offset bar. The buckle is flat in profile and shows some bevelling on the inside of the loop. It has a raised area on the outer edge opposite the bar that houses four parallel raised ribs. The centre two being the highest and would have housed the pin. The perimeter is shaped with 9 small projections, possibly to resemble petals. Dating from c. AD 1250-1400.

An incomplete Medieval copper alloy buckle dating to c. AD 1270-1350. The buckle is oval in shape, both the pin and bar is missing. The outside edge widens in the centre to a width of 7.0mm and a thickness of 5.6mm. It is D-shaped in cross-section, and there appears to be a wear mark in the centre where the pin may have rubbed. The buckle is 24.0mm in length, 17.8mm in width, and weighs 4.63gms. The buckle has a mid green patina with patches that are dark green.

A complete medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The frame is D-shaped in plan and oval in section with a widened outer edge and a slightly offset strap bar. There is a transverse groove across the front in the centre of the outer edge making a pin rest. A similar example is described in record SOM-CA5700
It is 24.1mm long, 18.5mm wide and 2.7mm thick; it weighs 2.8g.

A complete Medieval copper-alloy single-looped roller framed buckle (c. 1250-c. 1400).
It has an oval shaped frame with an offset and narrowed bar, thickened at the outer edge. At the outer edge, on the front and rear, there are two transverse ridges as decoration. At each corner of the outer edge there is a rounded knop. This design echoes that of roller buckles of the same period - where the elements are depicted as solid rather than moveable.
The buckle has a mid brown/green patina.

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle of medieval to post-medieval date. The loops are oval in form and have neatly serrated outer edges, each with five lobes formed of four grooves. The buckle is decorated with beige-yellow and white enamel and moulded scrollwork decoration in the form of 'S' shaped swirls on the front side of the buckle only, dating to AD1650-1680. An incomplete cast copper alloy small double-looped sub-annular buckle. The frame is oval, in plan, with a straight central pin bar which is flush with the frame. The buckle is incomplete as the pin is missing. The upper face of the buckle is slightly curved with the reverse side being flat. The buckle is undecorated on both faces. The original surface has mostly corroded to a light brown to light green colour.
Similar buckle frames are illustrated by Whitehead (1996) on page 48, No.279, which is dated from c.1650-1720.

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date (c. 17th century AD). The buckle is sub-oval in form with low 'bifid' sides. The pin is missing. but has left a rust mark where it would have been. Each outer edge is rounded with an internal rounded protrusion. The buckle is bevelled externally on the upper surface and is flat on the lower. The buckle is in good condition and has a a dark green patina. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 71; ref. 442).

A cast copper alloy double-loop oval buckle frame with a flat base and a trapezoidal profile in cross-section and a simple, narrowed, central pin bar. The frame has bevelled inner and outer edges and a flat upper face between these, creating a ridge on both sides.The pin is missing and there is no corrosion product in the form or iron oxide on the surface of the pin bar to suggest that it was made of iron. The pin bar is slightly slimmer at the centre. The buckle has a strong dark green patina.

An incomplete copper alloy single loop buckle of Medieval date (AD 1250-1400). The buckle has a single loop oval frame with a narrowed and offset strap bar. Two prominent, collared knops flank three grooves on the outer edge of the loop. The pin appears to be a replacement, constructed from thin wire, loosely wound around the narrowed strap bar. The buckle has a dark and light green patina.
The buckle is 21.8mm long, 19.8mm wide, 3.5mm thick and weighs 3.2g.
Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead,1996 p.20 no.88 and are dated to circa AD 1250-1400.

A small plain circular single loop frame copper-alloy buckle. The object is undecorated and circular in cross-section. There is no constriction for the pin, which has led to this object being classed as a buckle and not a brooch; it is entirely possible that it was alternatively used as a brooch although the frame and pin are undecorated which suggests it is more characteristic of a buckle.
