A silver medieval longcross penny of Edward II (1307 - 1327) class 12a (1314) minted in Canterbury, North vol II 1993 (1063/1).
The crown has wedge shaped petals, and the letter N is that of 11b3, described in North Vol II page 35 fig. 2.
There is evidence on the reverse that the coin was double struck.

A medieval silver penny of Edward I (AD 1272-1307). Class 4d (North 1026) dating 1287 Canterbury mint. The crown has a small nick in and the reverse has a pellet before CIVI. There is the appearance of clipping at 5 o clock on the obverse, that is now worn thin, this could be wear from agricultural disturbance. There is also evidence of cracks through the coin from 9 o clock to 3 o clock, and on the reverse in the top right quadrant. The coin has also been double struck.
