A complete but damaged lead alloy pilgrim's ampulla of medieval date (c.AD 1350-1550). The body of the ampulla is circular with an elongated rectangular neck extending from one edge. One upper corner of the neck is bent backwards and although both suspension loops are present, one is flattened against the main body. Both surfaces of the main body are decorated. One face bears a forward facing crowned bust in relief inside a wireline circle and a border formed of radial lines creating a feathered effect.
