An incomplete post medieval lead alloy button(c. AD 1500- 1700). The head is conical in shape and sub circular in plan. It is decorated with eight raised ribs radiating from the apex. The radiating ribs are joined by four circumferential ribs. The rear of the object is flat and the suspension fitting is missing leaving a small raised area where it would have been joined to the main body. A complete, copper alloy strap fitting of post-medieval date (c. AD 1550-1750).The object is composed of a rectangular strap slide, topped with a projecting plate that tapers in before flaring out to end in a broad rounded knop. Along the top of the bar is an incised transverse line. The back of the plate is concave and undecorated. It has a mottled green patina. The male half of a copper alloy post medieval bullet mould used for the production of lead shot. The object is sub-triangular in shape, with a hemispherical recess in which a single ball could be cast. In the top of the object is a chamfered casting gate through which the lead alloy would have been poured. On the recessed side of the object are two locating pins that would have fitted into corresponding sockets in the opposite half of the mould.
