Roman denarius, probably a silver plated copy, hybrid with an obverse of Vespasian and a reverse proper to Domitian dating to AD 81 (Reece Period 4). Obverse: IMP CAESAR VESPASIA[NVS AVG], laureate head right. Reverse: [TR P COS VII] DES VIII P P, Thunderbolt on draped throne. A similar hybrid, with an obverse of Titus, is listed in the 1926 edition of RIC II as no. 226. In the revised 2007 edition of RIC II (Pt.1), it has been removed and described as a plated hybrid (see p. 366). Thickness: 1.87 mm; Weight: 2.75 g; Diameter: 17.6 mm.

A Roman T-shaped brooch. The brooch consists of the cylindrical wings, an arched bow, and part of the catch plate. The wings have a notch in the centre to accommodate the hinge pin which is missing. An incomplete Roman copper alloy plate brooch in the form of a figure riding a horse going right with some remaining enamel decoration. The riders head is missing aong with the extremities of the horses legs. The pin is missing but the mount and catch remain on the reverse that is otherwise plain. The PAS database has many examples of this style of brooch (e.g. OXON-BB82E1, WILT-EB1156, WAW-174245, WILT-7C9663) including very intricate versions such as SOM-DCBB1B found in Somerset.
