Copper-alloy unidentified object of unknown date. It is ovoid in form with one flat side. It is decorated with multiple transverse parallel grooves and a transverse ridge encircling each end. There are the remnants of some iron corrosion on the flat side. This suggests that it was once part of a larger object and was perhaps a handle of some type.

A fragment of a medieval copper-alloy purse bar. It is v-shaped in section and becomes narrower at one end. There is a pierced hole in one edge towards the wider end of the bar. There is a decoration of an engraved doubled grooved zig zag. A similiar example is illustrated by Margeson (1993: no. 290) and it is probably of 16th or 17th century date.

A fragment of a copper-alloy double-loop buckle of post-Medieval date. One short outer edge and one long outer edge are present. The short edge consists of two semi-circular loops with a baluster moulding in the middle in which the pin would have sat. The long edge has a moulded decoration in the middle which consists of a semi-circular sphere with two transverse ribs either side and on either side of these a smaller semi-circular sphere.The reverse of the frame is flat and undecorated. A copper-alloy, double looped, trapezoidal Post Medieval buckle dating to AD 1620 - AD 1680. Half of the buckle frame and the central bar is present.The buckle frame is sub-rectangular and trapezoidal in plan, and trapezoidal in section with a bevelled outside edges and a flat surface. A bevelled triangular projection expands from the middle of the external edge of the frame, and there is a small triangular bevelled knop at either end of the central bar. The reverse of the buckle is plain and undecorated. Similar to one found at Meols (Griffith et al. 2007, pg 213, pl.44. no. 2999).

An incomplete struck copper alloy 'stock Tournai' Jetton dating from the later medieval period, specifically the period post 1380 - c.1500 AD.
Obverse: Shield of ancient or old France comprising three fleur-de-lis on a tringular shaped shield, enclosed within a circlet. Reverse: Triple stranded cross fleuretty within a tressure of four arches with large lis shaped terminals. Outside the tressures between the arches are single annulets or possibly lis.

Complete lead weight of unknown date. It is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section. The weight has angled sides and has four concentric grooves running around the diameter of one surface, which is also slightly concave. There is a shallow cavity in the centre with two pellets on its edge. The surface underneath is plain. It has a cream patina. Weights like this were in use from the Roman period onwards and as such are difficult to date.

There is a hole through the middle which is slightly off centre.There are no markings or decoration on the surface. A fragment of a copper alloy and iron folding knife or razor handle of probable later Roman date (3rd to 4th century). Part of an outer plate survives with the corroded remains of the blade attached to the other side via an in situ iron rivet that would have allowed it to pivot originally. The plate is sub-rectangular in form, with a rounded solid end and an openwork body, most of which appears to be missing. A Post medieval copper-alloy trade weight possibly of Charles I or George I. The weight is circular in plan with a blank reverse. On the front there is a raised rectangular sectioned border which has a thin incised line around the inner upper edge.
In the centre of the weight there is a small incised circle around a central punch mark. Outside of this circle at 12 o'clock there is the faint outline of a stamped ewer, at approximately 9 o'clock there is either a C or G surmounted by a crown which is barely visible and another mark at 2 o'clock which may be the hilt of a sword.

Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of flat wing ends type. The brooch consists of plain circular sectioned wings with endcaps, which contain a spring of 10 coils. The bow sits on a characteristic sub-rectangular protrusion emerging from the wings. The bow is plain except for an unusual double linear incision running down the reverse.
It is 36mm long, 29mm wide and 17mm thick and weighs 24.3grams.

Post Medieval copper alloy cutlery handle, 68mm long, 13mm wide and 10mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 32.1grams. The handle is oval in section and rectangular in form. It is in the form of a lion on its hind legs with front legs resting on a shield. The lion has stylised curled mane and wears a crown. On a better example such as LEIC-80B261 the lion appears to be amaciated with very prominent ribs. Medieval lead alloy seal matrix, 39mm long, 25mm wide and 4mm thick, with a weight of 22.6grams. The seal matrix is lentoid (pointed oval) in form and rectangular in section. It bears the inscription in clearly engraved letters + SIGILLVM ROBERTI DMSLN which surrounds an image of the Agnus Dei (lamb of God) carrying a banner.
The first part of the inscription is easy to interpret - Seal of Robert. The final five letters are much harder. The L is inverted and the N reverse-barred. There are no abbreviation marks, but the D may stand for de; one would then expect a place-name to follow.

Early medieval copper alloy brooch fragment, 23mm long, 21mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.65grams. It consists of a damaged and worn fragment of a head plate, which has a recessed horizontal depression running along its upper edge. Below this can be seen two rows of punched 'crescents' running vertically down each side. On the reverse of the fragment which has a sub-rectangular form, is a semi-circular shaped lug.

A cast, copper-alloy, post medieval, foot and part of a leg from a cooking vessel. The leg is V shaped in section with a flattened D sectioned foot. The leg has a central rib running down its centre. This stops at a ribbed collar where it joins the foot. The integral foot protudes from the leg and has three defined raised lobes to form a foot.
Length 43mm, width 43,thickness 19mm.

Post Medieval cast copper-alloy foot and part of a leg from a cooking vessel. The leg is D-shaped in section and is plain. There is a moulded collar around the leg just above the foot. The integral foot is triangular in form with a sub rectangular section. Its upper surface is formed of three distinct lobes. Length 49.9 mm, width 32.2mm, thickness 20mm.

Late Medieval copper-alloy adapted strap fitting. The object consists of a re-used D-shaped buckle frame. This has a sub-triangular section and a recessed pin bar. Attached to this is a rectangualr plate with tapering edges and a small rectangular projection on each side of the long edge. Its upper surface is engraved with a geometric pattern and it is attached to the pin bar by a rectangular shaped projection that is bent around the bar. Early medieval, copper alloy, small-long brooch. It is broken in two pieces just below the bow. The head plate is trefoil shaped with small rectangular notches out of either side of the top of the bow. The bow is triangular in section and short. The foot has four rounded ridges running across it just above the spatulate extension terminal.There is an intact catch plate on the reverse which sits just above the flared terminal. there is also an intact pin lug on the reverse of the headplate.

The brooch consists of a rectangular head plate, with slightly chamferredvertical edges. This has a semi-spherical knob with a moulded collar on its upper edge.The bow has a triangular section with a prominent ridge running down its centre. This sits on top of a triangular shaped foot plate which is joined to the animal head terminal by three moulded semi-circular ridges.
