Medieval Copper-alloy strap end fragment, .Length 31mm, width 28mm, thickness 4mm, weight, 11.03 grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and forms the central part of a "lyre-shaped" openwork strap end. The lower part consisted of a rectangular inscribed plate and attachments and is missing. In the centre of the "lyre" element is the figure of St Christopher, robed, holding the Boy Jesus on his shoulders standing between two apertures, one side is missing on this fragment, as is his upper body and Jesus.
