A medieval silver penny of Edward IV dating to AD 1471-1483.  The obverse of the coin is unclear and may have been double struck.  Obverse depicts a crowned bust facing probably with a T to the left of the neck, the right of the neck is indiscernible.  CIVITAS EBORACI reverse depicting a long cross with three pellets in each quarter plus an extra pellet in two opposing quarters and a quatrefoil in the centre of the cross..  Initial mark is a rose.  Mint of York.  Probably, North (1991) vol 2, p 94, no N1654-1656.

A post medieval complete copper alloy finger ring dating to c.AD 1500 - 1700. The finger ring is circular with a D-shaped cross section. The exterior surface of the hoop is decorated with a foliate and rose design with a narrow, smooth flat rim.  There is a raised square knop at the front of the ring.  The interior of the hoop is undecorated.  The patina is brownish green and is corroded.  The finger ring is 26.03mm in diameter, 8.41mm wide, 3.47mm thick (4.99mm thick including the raised square knop) and weighs 10.19g. cf. A knapped lithic implement of Neolithic to early Bronze Age date, circa 4000 - 2300 BC. The implement is a thumbnail scraper, designed to be held between the thumb and forefinger, formed from a secondary flake which is D-shaped in plan and triangular in section. The ventral surface is smooth with subtle ripples of percussion, although the striking platform has been damaged. The dorsal surface displays minimal retouch. The flint is a grey colour. A medieval or post medieval lead token dating to c AD 1400-1700.  This lead token was found with WILT-1AEC06 and may be dated similarly to the fifteenth century.  The token is uniface and is decorated with a linear design with four pellets on short lines perpendicular to the central line and a plain back.  The design may be a truncated anchor.  Powell Type 5.  Cf Fletcher, 2005, p 61.   Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date.

A medieval lead token dating to c AD 1200-1500.  The token is uniface and is decorated with a linear cross with a pellet in each angle and a plain back.  The decoration is reminiscent of the reverse of a long cross penny.  Powell Type 14.  Cf Fletcher, 2005, pp 40-41.   Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date. Tokens of Powell's type 14 are thought to imitate Medieval pennies, and may therefore be of the same date.

A medieval cut farthing of Henry II to Henry III dating to c AD 1180-1247.  The fragment is too small to identify accurately, the shape of the X suggests it is later in the sequence.  Obverse depicts the top of the sceptre.  Reverse has a quatrefoil in the quarter and the legend reads RES' O.  Moneyer is PIRES, PERES or PIERES.  Uncertain mint could be London, Chichester, Winchester or Durham.
