An Early Medieval copper alloy strap end, probably dating to AD 750-950. The strap end is sub-rectangualr in plan with convex sides, the attachment end is transversely split with two rivet holes (one incomplete); one containing iron corrosion products. The strap end has a simple moulded zoomorphic terminal, with incised sub-oval ears containing punched crescents. The strap end is decorated with a single field of incised geometric decoration. A copper alloy medieval two piece strap end dating to c AD 1400-1500. The strap end is complete and is circular with an extended, sub-triangular flat openwork 'knop' at the bottom. The circular upper plate is deocrated in openwork with a bird standing left with open wings with a sub oval recess with leaf-like motifs to either side. A medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to c 1450-1600. The strap end is made in two pieces each with concave edges so that the sides curve round and join to the other plate. The strap end has a long plain top section which gradually narrows towards the end where it curves in to create a waist before flaring out. The strap end is long an narrow with two rivets which are still in place at the top and bottom of the object. A medieval copper alloy strap end dating to c AD 1270-1350. The strap end comprises two pieces of copper alloy with a slight concavity on their inner surfaces. The two pieces are similar in size and shape and it appears that they would originally have been part of a single sheet joined at one end by a small strip where the sheet would have been folded over to create the strap end. A possibly medieval copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to c AD 1050-1250. The strap end comprises a strip of copper alloy shaped and engraved with a zoomorphic design, probably a beast or bird. The mouth of the beast contains the base of a triangular flattened cone which curves round to create a hollow with a separate back plate and two rivets to hold the strap end. The object has an sub-oval section at the top which narrows to divide into two at the bottom. The oval section is decorated with a line of dots along edge which continue down the neck where there are four horizontal lines before it divides. The oval section has a line of small curved lines just inside the line of dots.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy amphora-shaped strap end dating to the period c. AD 200 - 400. The strap end has been broken leaving only the tip of the strap end which consists of a sub-ovoid body, the top of which has three knops on each side with curves in between. The edge of the strap end is decorated with dots and there is a line of eleven ring and dot motifs down the centre of the strap end with some extra dots at the bottom and towards the top where there are two ring and dot motifs either side of the central line.

A copper-alloy fragment of a strap end. The strap end tapers to a rounded end, although the terminal point is missing. Both rivets remain together with a copper-alloy sheet spacer between the lower part of the paired sheets.
