A fragment from a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead dating to c 1000-800 BC. The fragment comprises a section of the rim of the axe. The rim is flat and narrows towards the body of the axe. There is a slightly angled rim which suggests this may be a fragment from the corner of the axe socket. The patina is dark brown with beige clay coloured marks. At the break, the patina is dark green with patches of bright green.
