A rim fragment from a late medieval or early post medieval domesstic vessel dating to the period c AD 1300-1500. On the outside, the fragment comprises a section of the rim which flares out before curving back in towards the outer body of the vessel creating a lip. A Roman ceramic rim sherd of Oxfordshire red/brown colour coated ware, probably dating to c. AD 200-410. A fine grained micaeous fabric with pale orange oxideised surfaces and grey reduced core, containing occassional grog and ferrous inclusions. Traces of a brown slip survive both above and below the rim. The vessel had an everted rim with slightly beaded lip. Weight: 26.43g.

A copper alloy zoomorphic terminal from a drop handle, of medieval date (c AD 1250-1500). The object is cylindrical, oval in cross-section, and in the shape of an animal head, perhaps a barking dog. There is a groove on either side of the neck, and a slight ridge around the neck which frames the head. The mask comprises almond-shaped eyes on either side of a snout which appears to terminate in two small holes. A fragment of a Roman New Forest fineware. The fragment is wheel made, colour coated and has fine inclusions. The fragment comprises the flat base of a bowl which spreads out with evidence that the upper section was less acutely angled out. The fragment weighs 36.86gm and measures 37.80mm in height and 53.26mm in width. The diameter of the base is 31.63mm and the angle of the vessel becomes less acute at 31.48mm.

Two adjoining sherds of pot thrown Roman terra sigillata (samian sare) from the same vessel dating to the period AD 43-250. The sherds have an orangey patina and the majority of the glaze is intact. There is a raised U shape repetitive motif around the top with a raised line below and beneath that raised relief of a galloping horse and rider looking backwards. Piece 1 65.87mm in length by 50.92mm in width and 8.04mm thick. It weighs 27.08g. Piece 2 50.35mm in length by 42.14mm in width and 8.04mm thick. It weighs 19.40g.

The sherd is wheel thrown, evidenced by the rings around the rim. The rim has a drop lipped flange and is possibly type 45.1b or 3a. The outside is uniformly dark grey with a slightly lighter grey interior. The sherd is 28.04mm in height, 74.48mm in length and 18.83mm in width across the rim. It weighs 36.15g.

The object is scallop shell shaped with incised lines from the narrow top to the flared outer edge of the 'shell'. There are traces of silvering. Similar feet are attached to the wine strainers from the Kingston Deverill hoard.
