Object type: BEAD
Broad period: ROMAN
County: Greater London Authority
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A sea-green 'doughnut' shaped glass bead which could date from Roman to medieval periods (c AD43-1000). The upper face of the bead, around the aperture, and the lower face are not quite parallel, suggesting that the bead was finished off by hand. The bead is translucent and is sea-green/turquoise in colour.
