An almost complete cast copper alloy clock key of post-medieval date. The top of the handle/loop is missing. The key has a double loop handle, the upper, smaller, loop being for suspension. The stem has an oval section and a triple collar beneath the handle. The shank is hollow. The key mechanism is two prongs with a diagonal indentation between the prong and the stem. The handle and loop are decorated on both sides with simple engraved shpaes. The key is a mid to dark green colour with an even surface patina. A post medieval copper alloy strap fitting probably for a sword belt dating to c AD 1500-1620. The strap fitting is in two parts which are from the same find spot. Although the short hook stud end is smaller in scale, it fits snuggly into the eye end of the strap fitting and both pieces are bent in a similar way. They are therefore being recorded together but will be described separately. A copper alloy early post medieval hooked tag Class A, Type 1 dating to c AD 1540-1620. The hooked tag is incomplete as it is missing the hook and the attachment loops are incomplete. The hooked tag is cast in one-piece and has moulded relief and openwork. The hooked section has a six-petalled flower bordered by palmettes and originally probably had two rounded and one debased trefoil attachment knops (all that remains is the remnants of one loop and the lower curve of the other two). A copper alloy coin weight for a laurel of James I dating to AD 1603-25. This coin weight is square and is for a laurel which is 20s (£1). It is probably for James I's third coinage which dates to AD 1619-1625. The obverse is worn and depicts a laureate bust with drapery around the neck and facing left. The reverse depicts a crown with XX below and S below that; in the top left hand corner there appears to be a roman numeral one with a crown above. A post medieval (AD 1540-1900) ceramic cone-shaped stoneware object which looks similar in shape to tegula mammata from a Roman cavity wall. It has been suggested that this may be the stopper for an acid bottle. The object has some slight damage to the sides of the base. It is generally conical in shape but towards the tip the profile is slightly flatter and it terminates in a blunt point. It is beige stone in colour with a brown glaze. A post medieval Dutch Type I silver thimble dating to the period AD 1620-1650. The thimble is complete but has been slightly flattened. The thimble comprises two parts. There is a separate circular dome at the top with a raised rim inside the dome which attaches to a sub-rectangular sheet that has been curled round to form a flared tube. The thimble is decorated all over and there is a maker's mark at the base of the flared tube in the lowest band of decoration which may be a greek letter phi or omega with an iota through it.
