A Roman ceramic sherd from the rim of a vessel dating to the period c AD 43-410. The sherd comprises a section from the rim of a greyware vessel. The sherd has part of the rim which curves out convexly. The sherd is irregularly shaped with old breaks on three sides. The fabric is a light grey colour with a reduced grey core and sand and possibly red grog inclusions. The sherd weighs 11.7g. It is 43.5mm in length, 8.3mm in thickness and 31.83mm wide.

A Roman ceramic sherd from the base of a vessel dating to the period c AD 43-410. The sherd comprises a section from the base of a greyware vessel, probably a flagon (it may possibly be an Oxford red slip coated ware which has been abraded). The base is flat with convexly curving sides with then expand to form the walls. The fabric is a light grey colour with a reduced grey core and sandy or micaceous and possibly red grog inclusions (although the later may be remnants of slip coating). The sherd weighs 9.47g. It is 34.2mm in diameter and 9.42mm in thickness.

The fragment comprises the upper section of part of the wall of the vessel, the wall then narrows to form the rim which curves outwards. A ceramic sherd from a wheel thrown Roman vessel dating to the period c AD 240-410. The sherd is part of an Oxfordshire fineware vessel, possibly a style C82.3 with a broad, shallow bottom with a base which is slightly sloping. The bottom then carinates into the straight, vertical walls of the vessel. The fabric is red with a grey, reduced cored. Inclusions are visible and comprise dark brown fragments (possibly iron?) set in a micaceous matrix. The sherd is undecorated and is abraded, so missing any surface gloss.

The fragment comprises a flat base with an incised line close to the edge which is then convex in profile with a line above just beneath the walls of the vessel which slope outwards. The fabrice is a dark blackish brown with some evidence of red grog and sandy inclusions. The area of manufacture is not certain. It weights 29.87g. It is 31.73mm in length, 44.94mm in width, 29.8mm in height and 8.18mm in thickness.

A copper alloy medieval to post medieval handle lug from a chafing dish dating to the period AD c1400-c1600. The integral rivet secured the loop at a right angle to the body of the vessel with a drop handle through the transverse loop. Only a short section of the drop handle remains where it fitted through the loop and it has evidence of wear as it pivoted in the loop. A rim sherd from a New Forest slipped ware vessel dating to the period AD c260-370. The colour-coated ware is part of a wheel-thrown vessel. The fabric is hard and fine. The outer surface is covered in grey slip. The core is a light grey core with a few small black inclusions and iron ore inclusions. The shape of the sherd suggests it is part of an indented beaker (Cf 27.12 Fulford MG, 1975, New Forest Roman Pottery: Manufacture and Distribution with a corpus of pottery types, BAR, Oxford).
