Two sherds of greyware dating to the Roman period c AD 43-410.  One sherd is a rim and one is a bodysherd.  The bodysherd may be of a Savernake ware type.   It is thin and of a pinkish buff colour with numerous inclusions of red iron oxide and medium sized sandy or black quartz inclusions.  There are numerous voids.  This sherd hard fired and is rough textured. Three sherds of greyware dating to the Roman period c AD 43-410.  Two sherds are rims and one is a bodysherd.  One rim and the bodysherd come from a large storage vessel, the rim is beaded and these sherds may be Savernake ware.  These two sherds have a rough textured fabric and inclusions of crushed flint, red iron oxide and small sandy or quartz pieces.  They are hard fired. The third sherd is a rim of a small beaded jar.  The fabric is a buff white with numerous of black quartz, iron and possibly pieces of grog.  The vessel is hard fired.

A base sherd from a vessel dating to the Roman period c AD 43-410.  The sherd is a coarse greyware.  It is hard fired and has an unoxidised core.  The fabric of the outer surfaces is a pale orangey pink with sparse medium sized sandy inclusions, crushed flint inclusions and iron oxide inclusions.  There are also a few voids in the fabric.  It is handmade.

An Iron Age gold quarter stater dating to c 65-40 BC.  The coin is a Hampshire Thunderbolt and is attributed to the Belgae.  The obverse depicts a stylised boat possibly with two standing figures.  The reverse depicts a cruciform thunderbolt motif, various objects in angles.  Rudd (2010) ABC 767.

An early medieval silver penny of Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Expanding Cross type, light issue (North 820) dating to c.AD1050-3, moneyer: Eadgar, mint: London. Ref: North 1994: 179-80. The coin appears to have been doublestruck leading to some blundering of the inscription. obverse: EDP[  ]EC with facing left bust, sceptre in left hand.  The obverse is not very clear and may possibly have been double struck.  Reverse: EADGAR ON LVVDN (VD ligated) depicting an expanding voided short cross.

A medieval silver long cross penny probably of Henry VII (AD 1485-1509), dating to  AD 1485-1490.  Obverse reads HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL  and depicts a crowned bust facing with crosses on either side of the neck.  One of the crosses beside the neck has one of the arms missing as a result of a circular impression on the arm (there are other similar circular impressions on the coin most notably at the lower ends of the hair to either side of the bust. Mint of London.  The initial mark is probably a lis and rose. cf North (1991) vol 2, p 102, no 1718…
