A post medieval (AD 1540-1900) ceramic cone-shaped stoneware object which looks similar in shape to tegula mammata from a Roman cavity wall. It has been suggested that this may be the stopper for an acid bottle. The object has some slight damage to the sides of the base. It is generally conical in shape but towards the tip the profile is slightly flatter and it terminates in a blunt point. It is beige stone in colour with a brown glaze. A section of lead with the remnants of an iron nail which appears to be Roman through it dating to c AD 43-410 (but may be later). The object comprises a sub-rectangular piece of lead. At one end, the lead has a flat vertical face and curved corners. The other end appears to have been broken off or cut as the horizontal line is not even and the vertical end face is sloping in on the back.
