A section of lead with the remnants of an iron nail which appears to be Roman through it dating to c AD 43-410 (but may be later). The object comprises a sub-rectangular piece of lead. At one end, the lead has a flat vertical face and curved corners. The other end appears to have been broken off or cut as the horizontal line is not even and the vertical end face is sloping in on the back. There is an iron nail through the lead with the shank broken off.
