A fragment from the end of a handle of a copper alloy medieval or post medieval skillet dating to c AD 1400-1700. The fragment comprises the tip of the handle. In cross section, the fragment is D shaped and the underside curves towards the very end of the handl. The top surface is flat and is decorated with a raised rim around the edge of the handle and raised lines in the centre. The decoration may be lettering or possiby figurative but it is not possible to identify the foundry from the fragment. The fragment weighs 25.44g, and measures 29.64mm in length, 20.66mm in width and 8.55mm…
