A copper alloy medieval chape dating to the period AD c1300-c1500. The chape is made from a single sheet of sub-rectangular copper alloy which has been shaped to form a flattened, triangular cone with a rounded tip with an overlapping joint. The tip is slightly open. The chape is undecorated. There are two attachment holes on either side of the narrower edges, there is a split from one of the holes to the top of the chape.
