A cast copper alloy double over sword belt hanger dating to the period c1500-1630. The buckle is a circular, lateral suspension loop. It measures 38.82mm wide, 54.06 long and 2.46mm thick. The suspension loop measures 11.29mm in diameter. It weighs 9.56g. Similar to Whitehead no. 452.

A cast silver shoe or knee buckle. The frame of the buckle is rectangular and has rounded corners. On the front face, along the short sides the frame is bi facial and this continues around each corner into the long sides. The long sides are wider at the centre with a hole drilled into the inner side to accommodate a separate spindle. The long sides are decorated with flowers or foliage finishing just before each corner. Attached to the spindle is a chape and pin. A cast copper-alloy double loop oval spectacle buckle dating to the period c 1350-1650. The pin is missing. The front of the buckle is undecorated with obliquely angled edges along the outside of the fram and on the inside edges of the loops. The strap bar is narrowed and broadly trapezoidal in section. The reverse is flat. The surfaces of the buckle are slightly worn with green patina with evidence of corrosion. Cf Whitehead No 294.

The buckle comprises a single semi-circular loop which flattens on the side attached to the strap end. The loop is circular in section. The strap end comprises a single sheet of metal folded over the loop and with a slot in the centre for the pin. Possibly a Roman buckle pin probably dating to the period AD43-410. The top of the pin is curled over to create a loop. The shaft of the pin narrows to a point at the end (it appears to have been bent towards one side). There is saltire design on the loop (two joined saltires) with linear decoration following the curl of the loop and at the top of the shaft (three joined saltires) with two lines following the shape of the sides of the shaft.

The buckle plate comprises a single piece of copper alloy folded over the bar of the buckle (which remains together with a fragment of the side of the single loop D shaped buckle) and with a hole in the centre for the pin (which is missing). Behind the oval frame is a transverse ridge. There is then the remnants of a rivet suggesting that there was an integral plate which is now missing. The patina is light green and the buckle is corroded so that the pin is fixed to the frame and at the strap bar. A copper alloy medieval to post-medieval buckle. The buckle is incomplete as there are breaks at the ends of the sections. At the top is is a circular loop. Beneath the loop and at right angles to it, a section extends horizontally - it appears that there was a similar extension to the other side but this is missing. The horizontal section then turns downwards at right angles and forms a slightly wider and flatter section, which is broken at the end. Directly beneath the loop, a circular section spike continues downwards, this is broken at the end.
