A post medieval copper alloy buckle dating to the period c AD 1550-1650. The buckle is worn and there is evidence of corrosion along the pin bar. It comprises a double loop oval shape with moulded floral decoration on the loops and lobed knops at either end of the integral strap bar. The flower decoration comprises a central raised pellet with five pellets around, these may originally have been raised too but have been largely worn away. A post medieval copper alloy buckle dating to the period c AD 1500-1650. The buckle is complete. It comprises a double loop oval shape with a raised rib at either end of the strap bar. The loops narrow towards the spindle and are bevelled so that they slope downwards towards the outer edge of the frame. The spindle is slightly recessed from the front edge of the frame. The buckle plate comprises an almost square plate of copper alloy which has two holes pierced in at the corners of one edge and at the opposite end there are two hooks which would have held the pin attachment bar. A copper alloy double loop annular buckle dating to c AD 1350-1650. The buckle is undecorated and comprises a circular band 9.03mm wide and 3.30 thick. The sides are bevelled so that the profile is D shaped. There is an integral bar across the centre of the circular band which also has bevelled sides. A copper alloy medieval or post medieval double loop oval buckle dating to the period AD c1350-1650. The buckle frame comprises two ovals which are bevelled on the inside and outside edges. The strap bar is narrowed and slightly recessed. There are notches extending across the frame on both sides for the pin. The wire pin is wrapped round the strap bar and tapers to a point. It is also missing one of the two rivets and is broken at the site of the rivet hole. The plate comprises a single piece of copper alloy which has been folded in half. A copper alloy tongue from an early medieval Anglo-Saxon buckle dating to AD 575-625. The tongue is a 'shield-on-tongue' type which is in the shape of a violin or guitar. The tongue is incomplete and is missing its attachment on the back. The object has a curved end and the sides are then indented before flaring out and curving round to form a flat section at the top of the 'shield'.
