A copper alloy post medieval shoe or knee buckle dating to the period AD c1660-1720. The buckle comprises a cast copper alloy trapezoidal shaped frame which measures 21.04mm and has been drilled to fit a separate spindle. The pin is corroded in place as is the plate, which is incomplete and missing the stud chape. The frame has concave moulded bifid sides which are flattened at either side and expand towards the spindle attachment and the end bars. The end bars have a central dip to accommodate the pin. A cast copper alloy double over sword belt hanger dating to the period c1500-1630. The buckle is a circular, lateral suspension loop. It measures 38.82mm wide, 54.06 long and 2.46mm thick. The suspension loop measures 11.29mm in diameter. It weighs 9.56g. Similar to Whitehead no. 452.

A cast copper-alloy double loop oval spectacle buckle dating to the period c 1350-1650. The pin is missing. The front of the buckle is undecorated with obliquely angled edges along the outside of the frame and on the inside edges of the loops. The strap bar is narrowed and broadly trapezoidal in section. Possibly a Roman buckle pin probably dating to the period AD43-410. The top of the pin is curled over to create a loop. The shaft of the pin narrows to a point at the end (it appears to have been bent towards one side). There is saltire design on the loop (two joined saltires) with linear decoration following the curl of the loop and at the top of the shaft (three joined saltires) with two lines following the shape of the sides of the shaft.

A copper alloy medieval buckle plate dating to the period AD c1350-1450. The buckle plate comprises a single piece of copper alloy folded over the bar of the buckle (which remains together with a fragment of the side of the single loop D shaped buckle) and with a hole in the centre for the pin (which is missing). The plate has two rivet holes at the opposite end to the buckle. The plate is decorated with an engraved border framing a punched and engraved design which is probably a mythological beast. The plate measures 18.22mm wide and 55.29mm in length.

Unusually the buckle is not made with a continuous frame as the pin attachment bar comprises two pieces of metal placed on top of one another. A fragment of a post medieval copper alloy buckle probably a double loop 'spectacles' type with moulded decoration c AD 1550-1650. The fragment comprises a curved section which has broken at one end. At the other end of the curved section, there is a small lobed knop and then a larger knopl. Both the knops are convex. The fragment terminates just after the second knop. On the back, the buckle is undecorated but there is a slight concavity on the back of the inner edge of the larger knop. The patina is mid green with reddish brown marks. A medieval copper alloy buckle plate dating to c AD 1200-1400. The buckle plate is incomplete and is bent and damaged. The remnant of the buckle plate comprises a rectangular sheet of copper alloy. The attachment end is truncated in line with two rivet holes, with a third, central rivet hole below the buckle end. Beyond the central rivet hole are the truncated remnants of one of the recessed hooks that looped over the offset bar of the buckle frame and then looped back down to the central rivet. There is evidence of gilding on the front of the buckle plate.

A copper alloy object which is possible the chape from a post medieval buckle dating to c AD 1660-1720. The object comprises a bar of copper alloy which is oval in cross section and which narrows gradually towards the outer edges. At the ends of the bar, there are two small knops which may have fitted into the buckle plate. In the centre of the bar is a raised rib which leads into a roughly triangular shaped pin. The back of the chape is undecorated. The patina of the chape is dark green and the surface is rough.
