A copper alloy tongue from an early medieval Anglo-Saxon buckle dating to AD 575-625. The tongue is a 'shield-on-tongue' type which is in the shape of a violin or guitar. The tongue is incomplete and is missing its attachment on the back. The object has a curved end and the sides are then indented before flaring out and curving round to form a flat section at the top of the 'shield'. A copper alloy object which is possible the chape from a post medieval buckle dating to c AD 1660-1720. The object comprises a bar of copper alloy which is oval in cross section and which narrows gradually towards the outer edges. At the ends of the bar, there are two small knops which may have fitted into the buckle plate. In the centre of the bar is a raised rib which leads into a roughly triangular shaped pin. The back of the chape is undecorated. The patina of the chape is dark green and the surface is rough.

A copper alloy buckle plate dating to the period c AD 1250-1400. The buckle plate is incomplete as the loops to contain the buckle are missing. The buckle plate is rectangular in shape with the incomplete buckle bar loops indented at one short end and two rivet holes with the remnants of iron nails at the other end. The plate is decorated with raised relief and the design appears to be of a mythological beast or bird. The back of the plate is undecorated. The patina is a mid green with the raised relief a reddish brown. There is evidence of iron corrosion close to the rivet holes.

The buckle plate is complete and comprises a sheet of copper alloy which has been folded in half and has had a hole and sections at either side cut to fit the offset strap bar. There are three copper alloy rivets through the plate and on the top surface, these have decorative square studs.
