A post medieval copper alloy buckle dating to c AD 1550-1650. The buckle is incomplete and is missing one of its oval loops. The buckle was originally a double loop oval buckle with moulded decoration on the loops. The remaining fragment of the buckle comprises the central bar, circular in cross section, which holds the remains of the pin. At either end of the bar the loop curves away. The loop is thinner than the bar. As the loop circles round it broadens sinuously to create a slight indentation on the inner edge and a soft point on the outer edge. A copper alloy post medieval double loop buckle dating to c AD 1660-1720. The buckle is incomplete and has been damaged and squashed together with its plate. The remaining fragment comprises a semi-circular frame with a separate spindle which has been inserted through. It appears that the buckle was originally sub-annular but the second semi-circular part of the fram is incomplete. A copper alloy buckle dating to cAD 300 - 400. The strap end is attached to the buckle but the pin is missing. The buckle comprises a single semi-circular loop which flattens on the side attached to the strap end. The loop is circular in section. The strap end comprises a single sheet of metal folded over the loop and with a slot in the centre for the pin. The object comprises an ovoid frame with hooks extending from each of the long sides of the oval frame. The hooks terminate in a zoomorphic head which may be a snake or possibly a dog and which face each other across the centre of the front of the buckle. The zoomorphic heads comprise a snout which broadens out and forms a small 'brow' ridge and on top of the head are two raised horns or ears. An early medieval incomplete Borre style buckle dating to c AD 900-1050. The object is a zoomorphic single-loop buckle frame which is missing its pin and the pin retaining bar. The frame is bent but was originally D-shaped with Borre-style animal heads at the ends of the bar and the mid point of the outer edge. A post medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle dating to c AD1720-1790. The buckle is complete. The buckle comprises a rectangular frame which has been drilled through in the centre of the shorter side and a double spiked spindle inserted. The buckle may have been tinned. This type of buckle may have been used to fasten garters on boots. The buckle has no chape.

A post-medieval copper alloy double looped buckle, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1650. The buckle comprises of one of originally two oval loops from a symmetrical buckle frame, wit a narrowed bar flanked by knops. The copper alloy wire in survives in situ, wrapped around the bar. The front of the frame is decorated with cast foliate or 'vinescroll' decoration.
The buckle is 27.10mm in length, 21.49mm in width, 2.79mm in height (7.23mm across the loop of the pin) and 1.79mm in thickness. It weighs 3.32g.

A copper alloy buckle plate dating to the period c AD 1250-1400. The buckle plate is incomplete as the loops to contain the buckle are missing. The buckle plate is rectangular in shape with the incomplete buckle bar loops indented at one short end and two rivet holes with the remnants of iron nails at the other end. The plate is decorated with raised relief and the design appears to be of a mythological beast or bird. The back of the plate is undecorated. The patina is a mid green with the raised relief a reddish brown. There is evidence of iron corrosion close to the rivet holes.

A medieval copper alloy T-shaped buckle of 13th- or 14th-century date. The buckle is complete and comprises a rectangular frame with an integral slot at right angles, and separate copper-alloy bar on which a copper-alloy pin hinges.
The frame is wide but short, and undecorated. It has a grooved pin rest in the centre of the outside edge. At the opposite side (the inside edge) there is a rectangular slot at right angles to the frame, which thickens to accommodate a hole for the separate bar. A cast silver shoe or knee buckle. The frame of the buckle is rectangular and has rounded corners. On the front face, along the short sides the frame is bi facial and this continues around each corner into the long sides.
