A copper alloy Iron Age cruciform plate brooch dating to c 200BC - AD 43. The brooch is incomplete as the pin and part of the catchplate are missing. The brooch comprises a central, sub-circular dome (11.85mm in diameter) with four circular knops domes projecting from the main body at each cardinal point. The bow has two decorative vertical lines running down the edges of the wider part of the bow. At the top of the bow, the bow narrows sharply to create a wire which is wound round the top and then extends down the back of the brooch to form the pin.
