A Roman copper alloy brooch pin, probably from a Colchester-derivative type, probably dating to c. AD 50-175. The pin comprises of a circular sectioned shank, narrowing to a point at one end. At the other end the shank transitions into a hooked lug with a central circular perforation. The overall effect is of an inverted 'L' shaped plan. The pin weighs 1.14g and measures 44.3mm in length, 11.94mm in width and 1.79mm in thickness. cf. Anderson, Wacher & FitzPatrick (2001: 67) nos. 161-162.
