A Roman copper alloy brooch pin, probably from a Colchester-derivative type, probably dating to c. AD 50-175. The pin comprises of a circular sectioned shank, narrowing to a point at one end. At the other end the shank transitions into a hooked lug with a central circular perforation. The overall effect is of an inverted 'L' shaped plan.
The pin weighs 1.14g and measures 44.3mm in length, 11.94mm in width and 1.79mm in thickness.
