A Roman copper-alloy radiate of Claudius II (AD 268-270), dating to the period c.AD 268-70 (Reece period 13). PROVIDENT AVG reverse type depicting Providentia standing with legs crossed, leaning on a column, holding a baton in right hand and cornucopiae in left hand. Mint of Rome. cf. Normanby no. 806. The coin has a very brassy appearance, perhaps from cleaning.

A copper alloy silver-plated contemporary copy of a radiate of Philip I dating to AD 244-249 (Reece Period 12). Reverse unclear, but possibly [VIRTVS AVG], Virtus standing left hodling branch and spear. Prototype Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 74, cf. no. 52. Much of the silver plate has worn away leaving a dark reddish brown patina. Uncertain mint.
