A post medieval silver seal matrix dating to AD 1796-1797. The seal matrix is damaged and is missing the loop at the back for holding the matrix. The seal matrix is oval and depicts a sheep walking right. There is an incised line around the edge of the face. On the back the front plate steps inwards to an oval plate with the maker's mark around it and in the centre a raised round section which narrows and then extends transversely to created the curvilinear holding loop. There are five elements to the maker's mark. There is an anchor identifying the object as assayed at the Birmingham…
