A silver voided long cross penny of Henry III dating to AD 1250-1256 (Class 5(a)). hENRICVS REX III obverse depicting a crowned bust facing with a crown comprising a single band with a small line and pellet on the top at each end and a trefoil cross in the centre. Three pellets below and two curls to either side of face with a pellet in the centre of each. The beard is depicted by a line of small pellets around the chin which has a single pellet in the centre. Sceptre in the king's right hand and the legend starts at 10 o'clock with the "III" along the side of the sceptre at 8 o'clock…

The obverse depicts a thin face with five pellets topped by a cross forming the crown. There are three curls on each side of the face, two with pellets and the lower one without. The lower curl is almost attached to the crescent of the collar. Beneath the eyebrows, the eyes are round with a central annular and a beard which in the centre has long vertical strands.
