Obverse depicts the lower parts of the bust, two hair curls with pellets on the right, an almond shaped eye with hole in the centre, a beard comprising lines with a central pellet and the sceptre hand separates the R and E. Reverse depicts a voided short cross with quatrefoil in each quarter. Mint of London. North 971 (North JJ, 1980, English Hammered Coinage Volume 1, Spink & Son Ltd, London).
