A Post Medieval silver halfgroat of Henry VIII (AD 1509-1547), dating to AD 1526-1532. HENRIC D G R AGL Z F obverse depicting the crowned bust of Henry VIII facing right. CIVITAS CANTOR reverse depicting a long cross fourchee over a royal shield with the letters W and A either side of the shield indicating Archbishop William Warham minted the coin. Mint of Canterbury. Initial mark is a cross patonce. North (1991) vol 2 p 112, no 1802.

VERITAS TEMPORIS FILIA reverse depicting a long cross fourchee over a royal shield. Privy mark is a pomegranate which appears after 'MARIA' and 'VERITAS'. A medieval silver sovereign type penny of Henry VII minted in Durham for Bishop Richard Fox and dating to AD 1494-1501. The coin is worn, clipped and pierced through the top of the shield from the reverse. The obverse depicts the king enthroned and holding an orb and sceptre. The reverse depicts a royal shield over a long cross which divides the legend, there is R D by the shield. North, JJ, 1991, English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, Spink & Son, London, p 103, no 1731. The coin weighs 0.61g and has a diameter of 16.06mm.
