A medieval 'Watford' type silver cut halfpenny of Stephen dating to c AD 1136-1145. STIEFNE R[ ] obverse depicting a crowned bust facing right and holding a sceptre. Reverse depicts a cross moline with a fleur in each angle. Uncertain mint. North 873 (North, JJ, 1980, English Hammered Coinage Volume 1, Spink & Son, London p 164 no 873).
