A medieval or post medieval lead token dating to c AD 1400-1700.  This lead token was found with WILT-1AEC06 and may be dated similarly to the fifteenth century.  The token is uniface and is decorated with a linear design with four pellets on short lines perpendicular to the central line and a plain back.  The design may be a truncated anchor.  Powell Type 5.  Cf Fletcher, 2005, p 61.   Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date.

A medieval lead token dating to c AD 1200-1500.  The token is uniface and is decorated with a linear cross with a pellet in each angle and a plain back.  The decoration is reminiscent of the reverse of a long cross penny.  Powell Type 14.  Cf Fletcher, 2005, pp 40-41.   Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date. Tokens of Powell's type 14 are thought to imitate Medieval pennies, and may therefore be of the same date.

A possibly post medieval cast lead biface token dating to c AD 1500 - 1700. These tokens are not closely datable.The obverse has a radiate bust in relief, facing right, which may be copying the head on a Roman radiate coin.  Behind the bust is a raised cross-hatched background.  The obverse is Powell type 10. The reverse is a raised squared geometric pattern in a quartered design of four segments with chevrons radiating out to the edge of the token in each quarter.

A Medieval to Post-Medieval lead alloy token bifacial token, of Powell's type 3/3, probably dating to c. AD 1250-1850. One face is decorated with a cartwheel-like design, with a central pellet. The other face bears the same device, but less well executed. The token has been slightly folded over itself. Diameter 17.2mm; weight 3.14g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date.

A medieval lead token dating to c AD 1400-1500. The token is decorated on both sides. On one side there is a cross with chevrons possibly in two adjoining quarters and a swirling looped decoration in the two other quarters. On the other side, there is an off centre cross with a double line running through the centre of the offset cross line and lines radiating out to the edges of the token. The dating is based on the similarity of the crude decoration to a silver long cross penny.

A post medieval lead probable cannon ball dating to c AD 1500-1600. The cannon ball is almost spherical with hammered edges making the circumference irregular. There is a small hole 4.28mm in diameter in the cannon ball, it is not clear whether this was the site of casting sprue or where the cannon ball was damaged as there are cracks running away from the hole. It is not clear whether the cannon ball has been fired. The fragment depicts a central fleur de lis with a legend around the edge. The legend may read CI[]OISENIV. A cast lead weight possibly dating to the medieval to post medieval periods (c AD 1100-1700). The weight is roughly circular in plan and is pierced with a hole through the centre. The weight is decorated with a wheel shape pattern comprising a groove around the outer edge which surrounds a raised circle with eight 'spokes' which meet in the centre by a hole. The reverse of the weight is undecorated. The patina is light whitish brown. The weight has a diameter of 40.63mm, is 8.73mm thick and weight 87.99g.

A lead papal bulla of Pope Alexander III dating to AD 1159-1181. On the obverse is written ALEX / ANDER / PP III (in three lines) surrounded by a circle of pellets. PP stands for pastor pastorum - 'shepherd of the shepherds'. The reverse depicts the heads of St Peter and St Paul facing each other, each in a vesica-shaped compartment defined by beading, cross pattee with long foot between the heads and SPA SPE above. A post medieval Post Office lead bag seal or an alnage seal dating from AD c 1600-1725. The seal is incomplete and comprises a single bent disc with a section extending out of it which would have created the loop or join to the second disc. The face of the seal depicts a bust of the monarch (possibly Anne) facing right with the legend OF ENG:LAND around it and a circle of pellets surrounding the design. The relief designs on these alnage seals are characterised by fine detail resulting from well engraved dies. The reverse is undecorated.

A post medieval Post Office lead bag seal from AD c 1660-1700. It measures 20.13mm in diameter and c.5.38mm in thickness, weighing 9.81g. There are perforations at opposite sides of the seal where it has been cramped onto a cord which passed throught the centre of the seal. The obverse depicts a crown above G POS above possibly a rose. The reverse is difficult to identify but may depict one or more shields. This seal would have been used to secure the contents of mail bags or sacks.
