Seven fragments of Roman grey coarseware dating to AD 43-402. Five of the fragments appear to comprise parts of the same vessel and include part of the rim and part of the base. The vessel appears to have been decorated with lattice design, although this may be damage. The other two fragments are grey coarseware but have oxidised red cores. The fabric is medium grey with small inclusions probably sand or flint. The fragments weigh 53.79g.

A fragment of ceramic Roman tile, possibly an imbrex, dating to AD 43-402. The fragment comprises part of the upper surface and two sides of the tile which are fairly smooth. The upper surface has a shallow convex curves which may possibly suggest it is a curving imbrex tile. On the underside, the surface is rough. The fabric is pinkish brown and there are numerous small and medium pits especially on the underside as well as inclusions probably of grog and flint. The fragment weighs 193.12g and measures 88.26mm in length, 65.37mm in width and 27.26mm in thickness.

There is a nautical theme to the decoration on the pipe tamper and this suggests that the bust may depict Admiral Lord Nelson (before losing his eye and arm). The hairstyle with the hair brushed back from the forehead, rolls on either side of the head and a pigtail is typical of late eighteenth-early nineteenth century hairstyles.
