A copper alloy french Tournai stock jetton dating to c AD 1415-1497. Obverse depicts a crown and the reverse a triple stranded straight cross fleuretty in a four arched tressure. The legend on the obverse reads PIERAR DVRAR ENNELIER, which is not listed in Mitchiner (1998, 216). The moneyer Pierar Durar may have come from Leiden in the Netherlands and the last word of the legend may allude to this. There is another moneyer referred to in Mitchiner, Pierar Anelier, and it is possible that the jetton is an amalgamation of the two issuers' names. (See BERK-B58B17 for a similar example.)
