A base silver or plated contemporary copy of a silver denarius of Claudius I (AD 41-54), dating to the period c.AD 41-42 (Reece period 2). Reverse type depicting IMPER.RECEPT on top of a battlemented wall enclosing a praetorian camp in which soldier stands with spear in right hand, aquila in front of him, behind him a pediment with fortified walls.
