A post medieval-modern copper alloy pipe tamper, moulded in the form of a horse's leg and hoof dating to c AD 1700 - 1900. The hoof and leg are finely moulded.  The leg is moulded with the leg raised and at the top of the leg, the leg widens to form the tamper.  There is some evidence of corrosion and damage but the object is complete with a dark brown patina.  Cf other examples on the PAS database SWYOR-2FEE08, LVPL989 and SWYOR-7449E3. Dimensions: Length 52.7mm; Width 11.92; Height 22.31mm; Weight21.16g.
